Cursor retains cross-session context through user-written Rules in Agent chat, and Cursor 1.0 announced per-project Memories that store conversation facts for later reference.

User-written Rules are the current documented cross-session context and are not automatic preference learning. The Rules page says models do not retain memory between completions. Cursor 1.0 announced Memories as a beta that stores conversation facts per project, managed from Settings. Team Rules are documented for Team and Enterprise plans; that vendor label is not mapped onto the seed plan string Teams. Project and user rules are not given a plan gate on the Rules page.
